• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before using Xalatan.
• Gently pull your lower eyelid down with a finger to create a small pocket. Being careful to not actually touch the dropper to the eye, squeeze the bottle to place one drop into the lower eyelid. (If this proves difficult, there is a helpful [and free!] eye drop applicator called Xal-Ease™ available. Ask your doctor or visit the Pfizer website for details on how to obtain one.)
• If you use other eye drops, make sure to separate the Xalatan dosing and your other eye drops by at least five minutes.
• Once finished, keep the bottle free of contamination by avoiding touching the tip to anything, including your eye, hands, or any surfaces.
