Minorities such as African Americans, Asians and Hispanics have the highest risk for glaucoma and other eye diseases. They are also less likely to receive regular eye exams as preventive measures. Dr. Mills, chairman of EyeCare America, says “we want all Americans to get the eye care they need. It is our goal to ensure that the cost of medical care never stops someone from getting an exam.”
